Mobile networks may increase prices in line with the consumer price index each year. Please check individual network's terms before purchasing.

Spusu has a few highlights that help its SIM Only deals stand out from the competition, with perhaps the biggest perk being that the network includes 500 international minutes with each of its plans. These minutes can be used to call EU countries, so Spusu is ideal if you have friends or family in the EU.

Spusu also promises not to raise prices for customers before 2026, and its SIM Only plans are all 30-day rolling ones, so you’re not tied into a long contract.

Plus, Spusu’s plans all come with 5G, free roaming in the EU, tethering, Wi-Fi Calling, and 4G Calling, and if you’re a big data user you’ll be pleased to know that unlimited data is available on Spusu as well.

Is Spusu a good network?

Spusu uses EE’s infrastructure and spectrum, meaning that it should offer the same coverage and speeds, which is great news, as EE has superb 4G and 5G coverage, and also delivers impressive speeds.

As an example, in an Opensignal report from September 2023, EE was found to have an average download speed of 40.0Mbps and an average upload speed of 9.3Mbps. That’s using a combination of 5G, 4G, and 3G, much like you might in the real world, and those results are higher than any of the UK’s other major networks.

EE’s – and therefore also Spusu’s – 5G speeds also impress, with a RootMetrics report from the second half of 2023 finding that EE’s median 5G download speed was 174.1Mbps, which again was higher than the UK’s other networks.

So if you want a high-speed mobile network with widespread UK coverage, then you can rely on Spusu.

FAQ

Can I roam abroad with Spusu?

Yes, Spusu allows all customers to roam across the EU at no extra cost. There is a fair usage limit when doing so though, and this varies from plan to plan, but the highest possible monthly roaming limit at the time of writing is 25GB.

The full list of free roaming locations on Spusu is: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, French territories in the Indian Ocean, French Guiana, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Martinique, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden.

Does Spusu have credit checks?

Spusu won’t credit check you for any of its SIM Only deals, so it’s a great choice if you have a bad credit record. Spusu isn’t alone in this though, so for other no credit check options, read up on who offers SIM Only deals with no credit check.

Can I keep my number when switching to Spusu?

Yes, you can keep your number when switching to Spusu. To do this, start by requesting a PAC (porting authorisation code) from the network you’re leaving. The easiest way to do that is simply to text ‘PAC’ to 65075 from the number you want to keep.

Once you’ve received your PAC, place an order for a Spusu SIM Only plan, and during the checkout process you should find the option to give Spusu your PAC. Do this, and your number transfer should be completed within a couple of days – though you can request a later date if you prefer.

And if you don’t provide Spusu with your PAC during checkout then you can always transfer your number later, by contacting its customer service team – just as long as you haven’t cancelled your plan with your old network.

Can I get unlimited data on Spusu?

Yes, Spusu offers a SIM Only plan with unlimited data, and unlike some networks there don’t appear to be any real fair usage limits. That said, the network does note that “all our plans are for personal and non-commercial use. The SIM cards should not be used as long- term alternative to home broadband.”
